Before becoming architecture, Casa Alta was a rocky plot in one of the highest parts of Cadaqués. Beneath the surface, the presence of licorella stone conditioned any intervention on the land and defined a topography as complex as it was singular. What at first seemed like a construction challenge ultimately revealed itself as an opportunity to establish a deeper relationship between the house and its surroundings.
